Dec 16, 2021

The Lawyer Stories Podcast Episode 73 featuring Lisa Bloom, Owner of The Bloom Firm in Calabasas, California, one of the largest victim's rights firms in the country, handling cases nationwide.  We talk about Lisa's desire to advocate for the underdog at a young age and what it was like to be raised by one of our country's most outspoken and effective fighter's for justice, Gloria Allred.  Lisa shares with us about her time at Yale Law School and how in 1986 when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Bowers v. Hardwick that states could constitutionally criminalize gay sex she protested and was an activist against the decision (eventually overturned in 2003 by Lawrence v. Texas.)  We further discuss why respecting and empowering clients is of the highest importance in Lisa's practice.
